The Walking Dead

One of the most anticipated post-apocalyptic zombie drama showing across networks, The Walking Dead is one of the rare instance where zombie and drama equates to a formula that will entice zombie fans and a whole new range of audience that wants something fresh off the television.

At first, it may not seem like a good idea to blend drama and a bunch of survivors in a post-apocalyptic zombie world due to it being repetitive and uninteresting. However, The Walking Dead takes on a whole new level by introducing characters which are deep and unassuming, seamlessly being with the series as it moves along rather than it being just part of the drama.

In season 1, audiences were introduced to a world where the worst was imagined and zombies roam the place freely. Deputy Rick Grimes, the protagonist of the series was awaken in a hospital to find himself in a whole new world where he has to fend off zombies and avoid being lunched upon. In search for his wife and kids, he goes on revisiting his past in a different environment and faces difficult choices which affects people that he chances upon. As episodes go by, a more complex circle of people were introduced and the bond or rather hatred that they have for one another plays an important role in their survival because zombies are sometimes not their only enemies, human can be too.

The Walking Dead is an excellent drama in terms of depicting a world where killing zombies is not the only objective but rather surviving in a realistic scenario. For more news on The Walking Dead, head on to http://www.thewalkingdeadblog.com/ for the latest updates.

A very good read! But for me unfortunately I do not watch any TV shows so I would not benefit as much. But it seems like a pretty good series and I might watch it one day...
